Hi, I'm Kaira, a sophomore at Rice University majoring in Biochemistry and Finance. At HKIS, a lot of my experiences were focused on biological/analytical research and inquiry, which is why I am most specialized at teaching STEM fields. On campus, I am involved in pancreatic cancer research, in multiple investment funds, and community organizations. A few of my hobbies include making matcha lattes, solving crosswords and sudokus, and spending time with my dogs!

Hello! My name is Olivia. I was a highschool student at Hong Kong International School but I currently attend Emory University on the pre-dental track. In high school, I took AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, AP English Language, AP Chinese, AP World History, and AP Environmental Science. I am qualified to teach kids in any of these subjects as I have scored full marks on all these tests.

I'm currently a first year at Northeastern University studying Business Administration and Psychology. I primarily teach English and Chinese for primary to middle school students and Graphic Design and Performing Arts to all ages. My goal is to help others using my knowledge and make learning enjoyable for all.

Hi! I'm Lucas, currently pursuing my studies at Imperial College London following the completion of the IB program. I study Computer Engineering, and together with my passion for robotics, I often find myself deeply engrossed in the world of technology and innovation. My love for rock climbing provides the perfect balance, offering both challenge and exhilaration in equal measure.

As a HKU student, my aim is to encourage students to appreciate being inside their classroom walls and unlock their potential! Outside of school, I’m into travelling, bouldering, and reading, as well as trying to get into dance. As peculiar as it sounds, I’ve always loved school. Sorting my notes and solving problems excited me, and I’d be confused as to why my peers didn’t feel the same. I realise that one’s self-confidence and approach to academics is just as important, if not more, than their grade. I’m a big supporter of gaining experiences and live by the mantra to try whatever interests you.
