About Me

Kaira is a junior at Rice University pursuing a triple major in Biochemistry, Finance, and French Studies while conducting pancreatic cancer research on campus. She has completed an investment banking internship at Morgan Stanley and is actively involved in multiple investment funds and community organizations. In her free time, she enjoys making matcha lattes, solving crosswords and sudokus, and spending time with dogs.

Academic Qualifications

Kaira earned perfect 5s across 11 AP exams, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, and AP French Language and Culture, and scored 1560 on the SAT. She maintained a 3.95 GPA in high school and currently holds a 3.98 GPA at Rice University, where she serves on the President's Honor Roll. Her academic excellence has been recognized through multiple merit scholarships, including the Morgan Stanley Richard B. Fisher Scholarship and the Jackie Schnell Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence, as well as her achievements as a Hong Kong International Biology Olympiad Bronze Medalist and USA Biology Olympiad Semifinalist.

Tutoring Experience

Kaira has 4 years of experience tutoring French, Math, and Science across grades 1–11, including 3 years at HKIS supporting students in on-level, honors, and AP STEM subjects on a weekly basis. Throughout this time, she has worked with students from elementary through high school, building expertise in AP Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, and French Language alongside foundational coursework in these subjects.

Kaira creates detailed lesson plans in advance after consulting with each student, using visual aids and stopping frequently to check for understanding and pose questions. To keep students engaged, she peppers lessons with interactive activities and provides worksheets and homework after sessions for ongoing practice.
