About me
Yilou is a Bocconi University graduate in International Economics and Management and a graduate of the French International School of Hong Kong. Having grown up speaking French, English, Spanish, and Mandarin, she brings a genuinely multilingual perspective to learning. She specialises in French, Spanish, and Mathematics tutoring, helping students improve not only their academic performance but also their confidence using language and math naturally in conversation and problem-solving.
Qualifications
Yilou graduated from the French school system with Mention Très Bien, one of its highest academic distinctions, before completing her degree in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University in Milan. She excelled in mathematics throughout her academic journey, including advanced coursework and 8 years of Kumon math. Her international education and multilingual background give her a strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and the process of learning both languages and mathematics across different school systems.
Experience
Yilou began tutoring through peer-to-peer academic support in high school, where she helped a fellow student significantly improve their mathematics grade from 6.5/20 to 14/20. She has also supported students in mastering mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies. Her experience supporting students one-on-one has shaped a patient, encouraging teaching style centred around identifying exactly where a student is struggling and building their confidence step by step.

Yilou takes an interactive and practice-focused approach to teaching French, Spanish, and Mathematics.
