About me
Woocheol is on a gap year after being accepted into HKU's International Business and Global Management and HKUST's Quantitative Finance programs, teaching mathematics and economics across AP, IGCSE, and A-Level curricula. Originally from Korea and educated in Indonesia, he is deeply passionate about financial markets, which fuels his love for mathematics and economics as well as his enthusiasm for investing and stock trading. What motivates him most in tutoring is seeing students improve their test scores while developing the logical thinking skills to approach problems independently.
Qualifications
Woocheol earned perfect 5s in AP Calculus BC, AP Microeconomics, and AP Macroeconomics, alongside a perfect 800 on SAT Math. Additionally, he achieved A*s in A-Level Pure Mathematics (99%), Further Mathematics, and Economics. He has been accepted to HKUST's Quantitative Finance program and HKU's International Business and Global Management program for 2025/2026.
Experience
Woocheol has over 3 years of experience tutoring middle school mathematics, beginning with students in his Korean Church Community. Most recently, he started tutoring in Hong Kong in January 2026.
