About me
Wenxuan (Wilson) is a senior at Hong Kong International School with a passion for calculus and its rigorous, logical nature, teaching a wide range of AP subjects from STEM to humanities. Bilingual in English and Mandarin and raised in New York, he loves getting to personally know students and helping them draw connections between mathematical concepts. Outside the classroom, he enjoys going for long runs during study breaks and reading philosophy and political works.
Qualifications
Wenxuan (Wilson) earned perfect 5s across all 9 AP exams taken, including AP Calculus BC, AP Economics (Macro and Micro), AP English Language and Composition, AP US History, AP Human Geography, and AP Chinese Language and Culture. Beyond his APs, he scored 1580 on the SAT and received HKIS Honor Roll recognition in 9th and 10th grade, followed by Head of School Commendation in 11th grade.
Experience
Wenxuan has served as a Math and Science Tutor at HKIS with a focus on AP Calculus, and has been a Teacher Assistant for AP Calculus BC at HKIS. Additionally, he led HKIS's History Club for one year, teaching and discussing Humanities subjects including APUSH, AP Euro, and AP World. He also has 3 years of experience teaching spoken English.
