About Me

I'm a first-year astrophysics major at UCLA, and I've had the pleasure of working with Stryv Academics for four years. I love to learn about the mysteries of the universe through math and physics; I'm a member of the UCLA Astronomical Society, and last summer, I worked at the Laboratory of Space Research at the University of Hong Kong. Outside of teaching and academics, I'm passionate about playing the guitar, film photography, and playing soccer.

Academic Qualifications

During high school, I took four STEM AP's, and received a score of 5 on all of them. This includes AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C Electricity & Magnetism, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. I received a 4 or above on all of my humanities AP's, which include AP Literature, AP Research, AP Seminar, and AP Human Geography. I also took all honors math courses, along with Math Advanced Topics, all of which I got an A- or above in. On my SAT's, I got a 1540; 780 on the Math section, and 760 on the English section. I received the Head of School Commendation during my 3rd year of high school for a GPA of 4.0, and currently in my undergraduate studies, I have a GPA of 4.0.

Tutoring Experience

During my time at Stryv, I've taught math, science, and English to students raging from grades 1 through 11. Along with one-on-one tutoring, I've also taught in group settings through Unicef's Caritas program. I helped underprivileged students learn English through reading books, playing games, and general instructing. Due to my diverse experiences in teaching, I can adapt to different learning styles quickly, from students who prefer to learn strictly using equations, to those who like to approach problems with a creative twist.
