About me
Rose is a Year 12 student at the French International School in her first year of IB, serving as Debate Captain and Secretary General for Model UN while teaching IGCSE and IB subjects across humanities and sciences. She is passionate about critical thinking and articulating complex ideas, skills she brings from competitive debate to helping students master challenging concepts. Outside academics, she loves to dance and make music.
Qualifications
Rose earned all A/A*s in her IGCSEs across subjects including Mathematics, English Literature, English Language, Biology, and History. Beyond academics, she achieved top placements in competitive debate—finishing in the top 6 at SPARK and top 20 at the HK Senior Debate Championship—and holds ABRSM Grade 8 in Singing and Grade 5 in Music Theory.
Experience
Rose mentors approximately 20 students weekly in debate and English public speaking as Debate Captain, developing their communication and analytical skills. Additionally, she has led groups of up to 60 high schoolers as a Chair in Model UN sessions, guiding structured discussions and facilitating collaborative learning.
Teaching approach
Rose focuses on developing critical thinking and deeper conceptual understanding, encouraging students to take charge of their own learning. To support this, she provides syllabus and exam strategies, especially for IGCSE subjects.
