About me
Rohan is an HKIS alum and sophomore at Purdue University on the collegiate rocketry team, teaching math and physics from algebra through AP Calculus and AP Physics. He is passionate about engineering and helping students gain the confidence to become independent problem solvers who can tackle complex challenges. Outside academics, he stays active playing baseball, basketball, rugby, and soccer.
Qualifications
Rohan scored 34 on the ACT and earned 5s in AP Physics 2 and AP Chemistry, along with a 4 in AP Calculus AB. He currently studies Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University, where he has been named to the Dean's List.
Experience
Rohan co-founded and taught underserved Hong Kong children aged 4-10 through Beyond the Bricks Charity for 2 years.
Teaching approach
Rohan encourages students to ask questions and uses example-based teaching to build real understanding that's adaptable to different types of problems. To support this, he contextualizes problems into real-world situations, helping students see practical applications of mathematical and scientific concepts.
