About Me

Peyton is a freshman at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business pursuing a dual degree in business and mathematics, teaching AP Economics and advanced math courses to high school students. She is passionate about mathematics, computer science, and economics, having taken additional courses through Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and led her high school's Math Circle club as co-captain of the Varsity basketball team. Beyond academics, her biggest passion is dancing, where she has earned her student teacher certification.

Academic Qualifications

Peyton earned perfect 5s across 10 AP exams, including AP Calculus BC, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Statistics. Additionally, he scored 1550 on the SAT (760 English, 790 Math) and received the AP International Diploma along with AP Scholar with Distinction.

Tutoring Experience

Peyton has 2 years of experience tutoring at the HKIS Math and Science Center, providing individual support in Algebra and Precalculus as well as leading review sessions for Honors Advanced Algebra and AP Physics 1. Throughout this time, she has worked with students from grades 8-12, developing expertise in breaking down complex mathematical concepts for high school learners.

Tutoring Approach

Peyton explains the "why" behind concepts and equations rather than just the "what," focusing on understanding how things work instead of memorizing formulas. To support this approach, he engages students in fun activities and practice tailored to each student's needs.
