About Me

Nina is a grade 11 student at the French International School of Hong Kong studying the IB curriculum and speaks four languages. Originally from France but having lived in Hong Kong her entire life, she brings a unique multicultural perspective to her studies. Outside academics, she participates in Model United Nations, equestrian riding, and singing.

Academic Qualifications

Nina earned A*s in IGCSE English Language, English Literature, and Spanish, and holds French DELF B2 certification while preparing for C1. Additionally, she has received multiple Model United Nations awards for oratory excellence.

Tutoring Experience

Nina has 4 years of experience tutoring primary students under Stryv, specializing in language-oriented teaching including beginner French, oral English, and language comprehension. She has served as MUN club Director for 3 years, working with students ages 11–18 to develop public speaking and critical thinking skills. Additionally, she has experience in a bilingual French-English school setting, bringing cross-cultural language expertise to her teaching.

Tutoring Approach

Nina starts sessions with a brain starter to build a productive mindset, then primarily uses the Feynman Technique where students assess prior knowledge, refine thoughts, and simplify notes until they can explain concepts to a beginner. Throughout lessons, she highlights small tricks and tips for reviewing and personalizes both published and personal resources for each student. To support this approach, she ends sessions with a review of what was learned, what's now understood, and what needs further attention.
