About me

Jacqueline is a Year 12 student at the French International School of Hong Kong passionate about helping students experience those breakthrough moments when challenging concepts finally click, teaching across IGCSE subjects from sciences to humanities. She thrives on intellectual discourse through debate and Model United Nations, where she sharpens her critical thinking skills. Beyond academics, she enjoys staying active at the gym, watching Formula 1 and ice hockey, and is currently launching a non-profit to teach cooking skills to grassroots youth in her community.

Qualifications

Jacqueline is predicted to achieve all A*s in her IGCSE May/June 2026 examinations across Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, Economics, Geography, and History. She earned the top score in Hong Kong for IGCSE French Foreign Language (taken early in 2025) and was awarded a 2-Year Merit Scholarship for the IB Diploma Programme.

Experience

Jacqueline has 3 years of experience mentoring junior debaters on the FIS debate team, developing skills in critical thinking, argumentation, and communication. She has experience working with IGCSE curriculum across multiple subjects.

Teaching approach

Jacqueline builds confidence through interactive "I do, we do, you do" activities, using analogies to connect concepts to the real world and make them easier to understand. She incorporates past paper prep and exam technique for exam years alongside custom practice problems and definition of key words. To reinforce learning, she reviews through the Feynman Technique where students explain concepts in their own words, ensuring genuine comprehension.
