Hi! I’m Estelle, a high school senior at HKIS with a passion for math and statistics. I’m planning to study statistics in college starting this fall and currently serve as a TA for AP Statistics. I love helping others grasp challenging concepts and am excited to continue supporting students through Stryv. Outside of academics, I enjoy baking, dancing (just for fun!), and grabbing boba with friends.
I have completed a rigorous math curriculum throughout high school, including all honors math courses and AP Statistics. I am currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC. I earned an A in each of these courses and scored a 5 on the AP Statistics exam. Additionally, I achieved a perfect score of 800 on the Math section of the SAT.
My formal tutoring experience began this year when I was selected as a Teaching Assistant for the AP Statistics class at HKIS. In this role, I support students by explaining complex statistical concepts and helping them build confidence in their understanding. Additionally, as a leader of the Neurodiversity Club at HKIS, I have worked with a diverse group of students, including younger learners and those with learning differences such as ADHD and dyslexia. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to meet a variety of learning needs.
I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and my goal is to understand and adapt to what works best for each individual. By building a connection with my students, I tailor my teaching methods to suit their needs and help them feel confident in their learning. I also emphasize the importance of students being able to explain concepts in their own words—this not only reinforces understanding but also builds long-term retention. I structure sessions to guide students toward this level of mastery, making learning both effective and empowering.
