About me
Danielle is a Malvern College Hong Kong Class of '25 alum, now a first-year law student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, teaching IB English and History to help students develop critical analysis and writing skills. She is passionate about literature, language, and understanding how historical contexts shape contemporary issues. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, playing the violin, and spending time with her family and two cats.
Qualifications
Danielle graduated with 43 points in the IB Diploma, earning 7s in five subjects including HL English Language and Literature and HL History. She was named the sole recipient of the Headmaster's Prize (2024–2025). In recognition of her academic excellence, she received the CUHK Law Admission Scholarship along with Honours at Entrance and University Admission Scholarship at CUHK.
Experience
Danielle has one-on-one tutoring experience with students of all ages, from primary school English to IB History. As captain of her high school debate team and Head Girl during the 2024–2025 academic year, she has developed strong communication and leadership skills that inform her teaching approach.
Teaching approach
Danielle provides detailed classworks, notes, strategic exam skills, and past paper questions—especially for IB—to build comprehensive subject mastery. Throughout lessons, she creates an environment where students feel comfortable exploring, asking questions, and making mistakes.
