She is passionate about making complex economic and mathematical concepts accessible to students across different curricula and learning styles. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, dancing, and going to the beach with her dog.
Qualifications
Daniella achieved top scores in the HKDSE with 5** in English, 5* in Mathematics, and 5* in Economics, alongside a perfect 9.0 on the IELTS and 1560 on the SAT. In recognition of her academic excellence, she received the HKU Entrance Scholarship.
Experience
Daniella specializes in English, Chinese, Mathematics, and Economics for secondary school students across IB, IGCSE, A-Levels, SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS curricula. Her experience includes tutoring at leading Hong Kong international schools such as AIS (SAT, AP Economics, Precalculus), CDNIS (Pre-IB English & Mathematics), ISF (SAT, Pre-IB Mathematics), and HKIS (PSAT, MYP English & Mathematics), as well as La Salle College (IGCSE Mathematics, Economics, English) and ICS (AP Precalculus). Additionally, she teaches in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Teaching approach
Daniella conducts a diagnostic session to understand each student's goals, learning style, and areas for improvement, then prepares customized notes, practice questions, and targeted exercises using memory aids such as acronyms and simple frameworks for retention. Her sessions follow a structured format: feedback on previous homework, new concept development with question-type analysis, guided practice, independent practice, and a summary with tailored homework. This systematic approach ensures students build both understanding and confidence through consistent, personalized support.
