I maintained a Honor Roll status with distinction throughout my middle school years and am currently pursuing an advanced honors biology course in high school. I specialize in math, science, and Chinese, specifically tailored for middle school and primary students. I have gained valuable teaching experience by tutoring classmates outside of school and have also successfully tutored my younger brother who has struggled with Chinese. This hands-on experience has provided me with the skills to effectively engage with students of various ages and learning styles, ensuring that each child receives personalized support to thrive academically.

My tutoring approach is designed to help students build a strong understanding of fundamental concepts during their early academic years, making their future learning experiences much easier. I recognize that each student is unique, so I tailor my teaching methods to match their individual learning styles and pace. My sessions are engaging and interactive, encouraging kids to ask questions and think critically about what they’re learning. I use variety of methods, such as practice problems, quizzes, educational games, and real-world examples.

In a typical session, I begin by reviewing what we covered in our last session to refresh their memory and address any lingering questions. I then introduce new topics in a clear and simple way, breaking them down into smaller, manageable parts. Throughout the session, I encourage active participation by asking questions and providing immediate feedback. At the end of each session, I create quizzes based on the topics we've discussed, which helps me measure their progress and allows them to identify areas of growth before our next session

My goal is to help students feel confident and develop a love for learning from a young age, ensuring they do well in school while enjoying the process. By creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere, I aim to spark their interest in the subject and encourage a lifelong passion for learning.
