Chinny is a West Island School alum, now a sophomore studying Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University, where she was recognized as a Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award winner and SCMP Student of the Year merit finalist. She founded an education nonprofit and has taught students across Hong Kong, Cambodia, and India, bringing her passion for making learning accessible to her tutoring in STEM subjects, humanities, and test prep. Her commitment to education stems from a belief that every student deserves the opportunity to unlock their potential through quality teaching.
Chinny achieved a perfect 45/45 in the IB Diploma, with 7s across all subjects including HL Physics, HL Math Analysis and Approaches, and HL Language and Literature. She earned 9s/A*s in all 10 (I)GCSE subjects, including Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, English Literature, and Geography. Beyond her academic coursework, she scored 1510 (98th percentile) on the SAT and is currently co-authoring a research paper on biosignal processing with EduHK and HKMU.
Chinny has over 200 hours of teaching experience specializing in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Geography at (I)GCSE and IB level for students ages 5–17. She has worked as a STEM and English tutor with HandsOn Hong Kong and The Inquisitive Minds HK, and as a Humanities tutor with AngelXPress and ISF Cambodia. Additionally, she served as a Classroom Assistant at the English Schools Foundation supporting English learning and founded an award-winning education nonprofit.
