About me

Chelsea is a senior at International Christian School who participated in the Cambridge Center of International Research program, creating a diabetes predictor, and now teaches STEM subjects including advanced math, physics, and computer science. Mathematics changed the way she looks at real-world issues, and she's passionate about making physics simple and accessible after finding it challenging herself. Beyond academics, she is a multi-talented musician who plays violin, oboe, and trumpet, and even conducts.

Qualifications

Chelsea achieved perfect 5s in AP Calculus BC, AP Physics 1, and AP Computer Science A, with additional 5s predicted in AP Physics C (both Mechanics and E&M), AP Statistics, and AP Psychology. She maintains a 3.95/4.0 unweighted GPA and has been accepted to study Biomedical Engineering at University College London, Hong Kong University, King's College London, HKUST, and the University of Warwick.

Experience

Chelsea has 3 years of experience tutoring secondary school Mathematics in-school and serving as a Teaching Assistant for AP Physics 1. Throughout this time, she has worked with students from grades 3-10, including personal tutoring for HKIS students in mathematics. Her experience includes supporting students through AP curriculum in both Math and Physics.

Teaching approach

Chelsea tackles exam-style questions while mainly answering student questions and teaching relevant topics as they arise. To reinforce learning, she creates custom practice problems based on weak areas and aids students through one problem before asking them to solve the next one independently.
