About me
Chandni is a Master's student in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Neural Engineering at Columbia University, having completed her undergraduate studies in Cognitive Science and Entrepreneurship at UCLA, teaching sciences and humanities across IGCSE, A-Level, AP, and IB curricula. She is pursuing a career in neurotechnology and healthtechnology at the intersection of AI, neuroscience, and innovation, and founded Lives Without Knives, a social enterprise empowering plant-forward living through festivals, markets, and vegan starter kits. Outside academics, she loves kayaking, plant-based cooking and baking, hosting gatherings, swimming at the beach, and chasing waterfall hikes.
Qualifications
Chandni graduated with a 44/45 in the IB Diploma, earning 7s in HL Biology, HL English Literature, and HL Psychology. She maintained a 3.92 GPA at UCLA, earning Dean's Honor List recognition for 9 consecutive quarters and graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her academic excellence was further recognized with the Sir Edward Youde Scholarship for Excellent Students and 8 A*s in her GCSEs.
Experience
Chandni currently coaches students through college admissions essays and applications to top universities including Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley, and Michigan. She has extensive tutoring experience in English, Science, and Math across IB, AP, and general curricula, working with students from primary through high school levels. Previously, she taught English at Tsung Tsin Primary School and worked with Outreach & Prep supporting students in multiple subjects.
