In my tutoring sessions, I employ a friendly and personalized approach focused on active, hands-on learning. Rather than passive lecturing, I strive to engage students through interactive activities, real-world examples, and collaborative problem-solving. Drawing on my knowledge of child development and learning psychology gained from taking AP Psychology, I carefully tailor my teaching methods to the unique needs and learning styles of each student. For some, that may mean providing more visual aids and kinesthetic exercises, while for others, it involves breaking down concepts into manageable steps or incorporating their interests and hobbies. By taking the time to understand my students as individuals, I am able to create a comfortable, supportive environment where they feel empowered to actively participate, ask questions, and take ownership of their learning. Through this dynamic, student-centered approach, I aim to not only help students master the subject matter, but also cultivate their critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall academic confidence.

Tutoring Experience
For the past one and a half years, I have served as a math tutor for middle school students at Levitate. In addition, I am an active member of the Chinese Tutoring Center at HKIS, where I provide Chinese language instruction to HKIS students. This academic year, I have also taken on the role of Teaching Assistant for AP Chemistry, working closely with students to support their learning in this advanced course. Beyond my school-based tutoring work, I have tutored students ranging from grades 1-6 through the Homework Club at the American Club. Drawing on my experience as the oldest among my cousins and siblings, I have honed my skills in tailoring my teaching approach to different learning styles and age groups. Through these varied tutoring roles, I have developed a strong foundation in effectively supporting students' academic growth and success.I have a strong academic background, having taken Honors Biology and Chemistry, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Chinese, AP Human Geography and have gotten 5s on the AP exam in all the subjects. I'm currently enrolled in AP Biology as well. I have also taken the SAT and got a 1550.
