About Me

Asha is a Hong Kong International School Class of '23 alum and third-year medical student at the University of Edinburgh specialising in Anaesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine. She is passionate about helping students build strong foundations in STEM subjects and develop confidence in their academic abilities. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, going to the gym, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Academic Qualifications

Asha earned perfect 5s across all 9 AP exams, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, and AP English Language and Composition, while maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA in her upperclassman years. In recognition of her academic excellence, she received both the Senior Science Scholar Award and the Rensselaer Medal Award from HKIS.

Tutoring Experience

Asha has been a Stryv tutor since early 2023 and served as a peer tutor at HKIS Math & Science and Humanities Centres starting in her sophomore year, working one-on-one with middle and high school students. Additionally, she has been a teaching assistant and volleyball coach for the HKIS Summer Discovery Program for two consecutive years.

Tutoring Approach

Asha addresses gaps in course material using both school-provided and private resources, reinforcing concepts at later sessions for retention. To support this, she provides extension work or extra assistance depending on student needs.
